One of the most important and interesting period of life is the period devoted to the studying in the college or university. In the university people receive a lot of live experience, professional knowledge and become more independent and self – confident.

But besides the benefits, studying in the university is connected with many expenses: the tuition fees, the costs for transportation and accommodation and of course the expenses on the educational materials (books, methodical materials, lectures etc). Not all the students can permit themselves to spend lot of money on the educational materials. But there are some ways how to reduce the expenses on the books. The appropriate methods are listed below.

1. The student can find the classmate which studies the same subject but has another schedule. For example, one student uses the book in the morning, another – in the evening. It helps to save the money.

2. The next method is to use the second – hand books. It is possible to arrange the studying in such way that one student studies the particular subject in one semester and another - in the next.

3. It is possible also to study together with the other student. The person can easy find the other students, which need the particular book. For theirs turn, they can allow to use their books also.

4. The students often sell or present the old books to the university after graduation. It is very convenient to buy such book, because it saves a lot of money.

5. There are some books which are often reissued and revised. In the bookshops many discounts on such books are given. Sometimes the former students sell the used books to the shops.

6. It is possible to ask the older students for the used books. Usually they present or sell the books on the cheap price, because they had the same problems some years ago.

The listed methods help the student to save the money and it is necessary to care of the books, because they can be sold after the graduation to the future students and to earn the money.
