Nowadays the university studying is very expensive. According to the statistics, the average price of the university studying is about $ 31 000. The majority of the students do not have the opportunity to obtain the university degree and to pay it. Because of it people try to find the ways to save the money on the education. One of such ways is to spend first two years of the studying in the community college. It is cheaper and more convenient for the students. The tuition fee of such college averages usually the half of the public educational institution and the one – tenth of the private universities and colleges. 

In the past the community colleges considered as the worth educational institutions and was the only way for those people who do not have the opportunity to allow themselves to obtain the university degree. The large universities always had better reputation in the academic world, among the employers and students. But nowadays the community colleges allow the students to receive the high – quality education and to transfer in the future the obtained credits into the university. The education in the community college needs two years. 

The majority of the universities and colleges require the students to obtain the basic courses during the two years of studying in the community college. These foundation courses are usually held in the huge classes with the hundreds of students. It is quite unusual for the community college to hold the lectures in such huge halls. Usually the amount of the students in the classes is about 30 students.  It means that the community colleges provide more individual approach to the students for the fewer prices. 

The teachers from the community colleges have the Master’s degree. Some people doubt about the quality of the education in the community college as the contrast to the universities, where the teachers have the Doctoral level. But the fact is that teachers from the community colleges usually have the high practical experience and have more practical skills in contrast to the university professors, which are more focused on the academic work.
